Press Release

Sejuiced Collaborates with Midsummer House

26th January 2021

Bespoke drinks specialist Sejuiced has begun a relationship with the acclaimed world class restaurant Midsummer House in Cambridge (www.midsummerhouse.co.uk).

It was commissioned by Midsummer House to create a trio of customised drinks for its exclusive Christmas boxes. Conceived as a complete festive feast at home, the hampers proved tremendously popular with those craving a fine-dining experience during lockdown.

Chef Patron Daniel Clifford has lead Midsummer House for over twenty years. Daniel is one of the best culinary minds in Britain known for his astonishingly creative recipes and purity of flavour. He has twice won the BBC’s Great British Menu and Midsummer House holds two Michelin stars, five AA rosettes as well as being a fixture in the Good Food Guide’s Top 50.

Sejuiced is built around over 15 years’ experience in hospitality and office catering and has previously created unique recipes for Raymond Blanc’s private dining experience at Chelsea Flower Show.

Both companies have used the lockdown as a valuable opportunity to spend time in their development kitchens, reappraise their business directions and refine their approach. Midsummer House has refocused its food and drink offer to create an inventive tasting menu featuring stunning produce. It has emptied its wine cellar to concentrate on a pared down drinks list of just a few carefully selected cuvees and non-alcoholic flights that beautifully complement its food.

Meanwhile Sejuiced has adapted its specialist eco-friendly office drinks service “The Juice Round” (www.thejuiceround.co.uk), for retail. Similar in concept to a milk round, The Juice Round provides fresh hand-made juices and smoothies in reusable glass bottles that are collected, refilled and replenished. This enables environmentally aware retailers and shoppers to reduce their single-use packaging waste and play their part in counteracting the devastating effects of plastic pollution.
